In spite of the fact that information age has set in due to invention of computers, the situation in Pakistan is not so encouraging . Unfortunately, Pakistan has not made as proper use of this vital facility to become a player in the global village. However, it is a welcome sign that the present government has realized that if we wish to excel as a nation in the world community, it is important that use of information technology should be focussed and planned in an orderly fashion.
