A VISIT TO A HISTORICAL PLACE . Essay post for students ..(Essay post)

Hi . This is TNWRITES . In today's post we are going to discuss abour essay A VISIT TO A HISTORICAL PLACE

“Historical Places are character of history based on or concerned with events in history.”

Historical buildings tell us the history of the past. These buildings are visited by thousands of persons every year. These buildings give immense  enjoyment to the visitors. They come to see these splendid monuments  not only for pleasure but to get knowledge related to them. Fortunately, Pakistan is a country where there are many historical places worth-seeing . I live in Lahore. So I got an opportunity to visit many famous historical buildings like Tomb of Jahangir, Badshahi Mosque, Lahore Fort, Minar-e-Pakistan etc, I had a keen desire to visit Taj Mahal situated in India as I had read a lot dream-like descriptions about it.

"What is this life if full of care, we have no time to stand and stare."

My joy knew no bounds  when my uncle, residing in Agra, invited us to spend some summer vacation with them in India. My father somehow  got permission to visit India for a week. I was filled with immeasurable  enjoyment. My sister too was very excited like me. I with my father, mother and sister reached Agra as per schedule permitted  by the Government of India.

In Agra, we stayed with our uncle. In the very evening, we went to visit the Taj Mahal. At last, the day came when my long-cherished desire  turned into reality, As I came close to it, I was struck by its unique structure. It is a marvel  in marble. It is called ‘one of the seven wonders of the world.’It was built by the Moghul Emperor Shah Jahan in the sweet memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz. Twenty thousand workmen including some European masons  worked day and night for twenty years to build it. It cost the Emperor several crores of rupees. It is surrounded by a cypress  garden on three sides . It is situated on the bank of the river Jamuna which lends charm to its beauty. The surroundings  and the garden add luster  to its architecture,  The beauty of the Taj beggars description .

"All the history is the biography of great men."

The Taj Mahal rises on a high red sandstone base topped by a huge white marble terrace on which rests the famous dome  flanked by four tapering  minarets. The crimson  rays of the sun at the time of sunset, enhance  its beauty and glory. Fortunately, it was full moonlit night. The Taj Mahal looked so beautiful and splendid  in the moon light. The beauty was beyond description. The stones of the Taj Mahal sparkled brightly in the moon light. In the moonlit night , its glory and splendor becomes unique. It is an intoxication  and a delight to watch this marvelous art of workmanship in a full moonlit night. It is matchless  in beauty.

"A thing of beauty is a joy for ever."

There was a big crowd. Many foreigners were also there. The four high towers at the four corners, the lawns, cypress trees and fountains add to the beauty of Taj Mahal. The workmanship of the Taj is so magnificent  that it has been described as "having been designed by giants and finished by jewelers." The main dome is in the centre. It is full of romance and beauty.

Now, we went in the main dome. There is a broad circular gallery all around the building.I was astonished  to see the filigree work  and carvings  in the marble. In the centre, there are two tombs of Shahjahan and his dear queen Mumtaz. There I came to know that they are not the real tombs. The real tombs are downstairs. We went there and found that they were exactly like the other tombs above. Verses of Quran are written on the tomb of the queen. I was wondered to see the mosaic work of art on all sides. It is, in fact, the most well preserved  and architecturally beautiful tomb in the world.

"The best part of beauty is that which no picture can express."

Some historians have named it "the crown of the world.” Someone has rightly called it a ‘poem in marble.’ It is a thing of beauty and a joy forever. I was reminded of the English lady who, on seeing the Taj, had said to her husband," If you promise to build a monument like the Taj in my memory, I am ready to die right now."

Now it was time to come back. So we returned home, Those were great moments for us.

| can never forget this visit. Its sweet memory will always be in my heart and mind.

"What peaceful hours I once enjoyed! How sweet their memory still."

Hi . This is TNWRITES . In today's post we are going to discuss abour essay  WHY I Love PAKISTAN  “Patriotism is a kind of religion ; it is the egg from which wars are hatched.”  Love for one‘s  motherland  is a natural feeling . I love Pakistan because it is my mother-land. I was born and brought up in this country. Man cannot  help loving the native place where he saw the light. I love Pakistan because its soil has gone into my bones and my being. My flesh-and blood are the product of this piece of earth. I eat its food, drink its water and breathe in its air, walk on its soil, live in a house made from its mud and hope to be buried in its soil after my death. So loving  Pakistan is, in fac , loving myself . “Love for one’s country is an article of faith.” Pakistan is dear to me for the sacrifices madé by our ancestors to win this homeland .
